Polymex P-2031 Heat-Resistant Primer Paint

Polymex P-2031 Heat-Resistant Primer Paint provides excellent adhesion to concrete and wooden surfaces. It does not crack, peel, or blister. It is suitable for application on all types of interior wall and wooden surfaces in buildings — particularly on fire escape stairways, steel structures, and high fire-risk environments such as hospitals, schools, and airports — applied in 2 coats. When a flame or heat source comes into contact with a surface coated with Polymex P-2031, the film layer interrupts heat and mass transfer to the underlying substrate. Once the burning material is consumed, the fire is also extinguished. The coating does not propagate flame under any circumstances. A material that would burn for 5 minutes without protection can withstand up to 1 hour when coated with Polymex P-2031 Heat-Resistant Primer Paint.

Application Areas:

Polymex P-2031 Heat-Resistant Primer Paint can be safely applied to surfaces exposed to high temperatures. It is used for painting chimneys, ovens, engine housings, sheet metal, and steel building surfaces. Surfaces to be coated must be thoroughly cleaned prior to application. Best results are achieved by applying a thin first coat followed by a second coat. Provides heat resistance up to 190 ^oC.
