This primer is used for applying PVC plastisol coatings to metal surfaces (sheet metal, aluminum, steel, etc.). Its function is to ensure bonding of PVC plastisol to metal surfaces and to prevent peeling or delamination. Additionally, it reinforces the PVC plastisol layer, resulting in a more durable coating. Polymex P-878 Plastisol Primer Application Areas
This primer must be applied to all metal surfaces prior to plastisol coating in order to prevent delamination of the plastisol from the metal substrate. Suitable applications include: footwear, dip-molded products, textile screen printing, protective coatings, crown caps, and bottle closures, etc.
